Hill Country Plein Air Abstraction

Get your palette knives and cozy sweaters ready for this fun and nature-inspired painting session. This class is conducted in Plein-air style, otherwise known as open-air painting, with the rich, surrounding landscape of the Texas Hill Country serving as our Kate Winslet. We will start by sketching out the miraculous lines and forms of nature. Then, we’ll use our paint-filled palette knives to capture the light, reflective Guadalupe River, and the changing colors of the foliage and sky. By the end of class, you will have an abstracted landscape painting portraying the beauty of our visit to Camp Waldemar.
