Class Descripton
For Intermediate Welding and Sculptures” we will be using our design skills in addition to building on the welding skills we learned in “Intro to Welding and Torches”. In this class, we will be given an assortment of metal objects that we can weld together to create a sculpture. The size and design of your sculpture is up to you. I have included pictures of some of the sculptures I have created in the past. You can keep it simple or get intricate. I will help direct you once your design is created so you can make it permanent with the welder! I will also be providing the metal to create a vase for your rose from the intro class. If you would prefer not to create your own sculpture I will provide the materials for you to make a vase instead. I can’t wait to see what your creative minds come up with!
Materials to Bring
- Optional: All supplies will be provided for this class, however, if you already have something in mind that you would like to make, feel free to bring your own steel pieces from home to weld together for your sculpture. Please remember that parts must be STEEL in order to weld together with the welder that I have. I will supply some parts and pieces for you to use if you do not bring anything.

Required: To participate in this class you must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Jeans are preferred as well as non-cotton shirts. Clothes that you do not love are advised. Safety is a priority, so you cannot participate if you do not follow these clothing guidelines.
Supply Fee Includes
- Welder and all consumables (wire, gas)
- Tools
- Protective gear (safety glasses, welding helmet, gloves, welding jacket)
- Parts/metal to weld together to create your sculptures (if you do not bring anything)
- Torches (if needed)
