Class Descripton
Celebrate your furry (or feathered!) friend by creating a stitched portrait that captures their personality through a simple line drawing. Starting with a photo of your pet you’ll learn the art of continuous line drawing to create a simplified image. Learn how to transfer your line drawing to fabric before diving into beginner friendly embroidery stitches to bring it to life. Your finished portrait, framed in an embroidery hoop, will be your new favorite one-of-a-kind keepsake.
Materials to Bring
- Please send a photo (or a few) of your pet to Jessie at jessiekatzgreenberg@gmail.com by October 22. The best photos are in good lighting and clearly show your pet’s silhouette, distinguishing features, or goofy personality. If you miss this step don’t worry, just bring photos to class and we will work from there.
Kit Fee Includes
- 2 Embroidery Needles
- 1 Embroidery Hoop
- 1 needle threader
- 1 Pencil
- Shared access to the following: Blank Paper for Sketching, Tracing Paper, Fabric, Embroidery Floss in Various Colors, Scissors, Disappearing Ink Pens, Transfer Paper, Light Tracer, Fineliner Pens
