Road Trip ! ! !

Waldemar is located in Hunt, Texas, 300 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth, 90 miles northwest of San Antonio and 120 miles southwest of Austin in the Texas hill country. For many, we’re just a mixtape away and others might need to pack a lunch. What sounds more adventurous than you on the open road . . . wind in your hair . . . sparkle in your eye? Be sure to join our Lucky Star Galaxy Facebook group to organize ride sharing.

The address for Waldemar is: 1005 FM 1340
Hunt, TX 78024

Just in case you get lost, the office landline at Waldemar is (830) 238-4821 and Lisa’s cell is (361) 944-7860. Your cell phone will have very limited service along FM 1340 and especially once you get to Waldemar. Please plan accordingly.

Flying?

If you are flying in for Lucky Star, we suggest you fly into San Antonio. It has the most daily flight arrivals and is closest to Hunt. The next best option is the Austin International Airport. It’ll take approximately 2 hours to get from San Antonio airport to Waldemar and 3 hours from Austin International Airport.

Shuttle Service

Taking a shuttle service to and from the airport would be the easiest and most cost-effective way to go if there are other campers sharing the cost. Campers are responsible for booking and paying for their own spaces on these shuttles. Book your shuttle as soon as you reserve your flights for the best service. Individual rides are available, but sharing a ride is strongly encouraged because it will substantially reduce your cost. Hill Country Limo is our only local shuttle service, but there are certainly other options in San Antonio/Austin which may be more affordable.

The folks at Hill Country Limo will happily group campers with similar arrival times for the greatest savings. Tell them you are headed to Waldemar for Lucky Star Art Camp.  Please call for current pricing.
