What is Lucky Star Art Camp?

Lucky Star

Lucky Star is an art and whole living sleepaway camp for women that takes place annually on the banks of the Guadalupe River at Camp Waldemar in Hunt, Texas. The camp is five days and four nights of art and lifestyle classes ranging from jewelry making to stitching, guitar lessons to soapmaking, welding to astrology reading. The evenings are filled with activities like live music, mixers, crafting, speakers, themed dance parties, a clothing/book/craft swap, game nights, cabin hops, and it wraps up with a Show & Tell and Vendor Market night. Lucky Star is for women with a good sense of humor and an open mind and heart, who are ready to embrace curiosity and vulnerability to experience something extraordinary.

Camp Registration

Lucky Star Art Camp registration begins with Priority 30 and Earlybird Registration, both running from January 15–18 and available exclusively to last year’s campers.

Priority 30 Registration is limited to the first 30 women who register. Tuition is slightly higher for Priority 30 campers because they receive first access to class registration before camp, giving them the best opportunity to enroll in their first-choice classes.

Once Priority 30 fills, registration immediately rolls over to Earlybird Registration within the same registration window. Earlybird is also exclusive to last year’s campers and offers discounted tuition as a THANK YOU for being a return camper. Earlybird Registration is limited to 80 spots. Any spots remaining after January 18 will roll over into General Registration. In 2025, both Priority 30 and Earlybird sold out in less than 10 minutes.

Last year’s campers will receive an email with exact details on how and when to register.

General Registration opens on February 1 and is available to the general public. There are 30 spots available, plus any remaining spots from Earlybird Registration.

Once camp is fully sold out, a Waitlist will be posted. Cancellations do happen every year—especially as camp gets closer—so if you’re serious about attending, we encourage you to add your name. When a spot becomes available, we always contact the Waitlist first before offering it anywhere else.

Lucky Star Tuition

Lucky Star tuition is set at different tiers depending upon when you register for camp and does NOT include travel expenses, lodging, meals, class supplies/kit fees, or camp merchandise.

We use RegFox online registration system for collecting your information and for all payment processing. You will have the option to either pay in full or only pay a deposit at the time of registration. Both Priority and EarlyBird registration balances are due on May 15 and will automatically be charged to your card on file in RegFox. Anyone signing up after May 15th will be required to pay in full upon registering.

Camp deposits and tuition are non-refundable. Payment plans are available through our RegFox registration system. Travel insurance is offered by a third-party company during the registration process.
