Handmade Flower Petal Paper

Pulp, Petals, Paper! Learn the art of handmade paper in this beginner workshop. We will use cotton rag paper pulp and experiment with adding different types of flower petals to our papermaking vat to make beautiful, textured paper that is flecked with nature. We will learn tips and tricks for creating artful compositions with our bits of found nature as well. The papers will be a small size that would make lovely cards or a unique drawing surface. The paper will be strong enough for drawing and writing but also have a delicate and soft touch. Each camper will leave camp with a satisfying stack of their handmade papers. 

Kits will be provided for a kit fee and will include a mold and deckle for you to take home so you can keep the papermaking magic going long after camp. Optional, bring petals and bits of plant material collected from your gardens or neighborhoods to give your paper pieces an extra special touch.
