Linens To Landscape

Turn ordinary fabric into extraordinary art in this immersive textile collage workshop. In Linens to Landscape, participants will begin with a printed photo on fabric and transform it into a richly layered landscape scene. Using a mix of vintage and contemporary fabrics, found ephemera, and simple embroidery stitches, you’ll learn how to build depth, texture, and atmosphere in your composition.

Whether you’re drawn to soft linens, bold patterns, or delicate threadwork, this class encourages playful experimentation with color, texture, and storytelling. We will learn new skills such as textile image transfers and water soluble pigment techniques to create a colorful abstract background on which to build our textile collage. By the end, you’ll walk away with a one-of-a-kind textile collage that blends photography, fabric, and hand-stitching into a personal landscape.

All skill levels are welcome—no sewing experience required. Just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a pair of scissors! A kit will be provided with all your materials, as well as a mounting board so you can frame your creation later.
