Class Descripton
Learn to paint funky, colorful pet portraits on wood! No experience necessary! We’ll start with drawing and sketching techniques that break down painting complex furry forms into fun illustrations. Then we learn how to use watercolors, pencils, and acrylagouache to create a final painting on wood to hang in your home. Our pet portraits will be full of character and you will leave with a wonderful work of art and tips/tricks for painting all kinds of animals!
P.S. you don’t need to have a pet to do this workshop. We can paint any creature: feathered, scaled, or furry!
Also, get ready to see photos of my puppy Mac (aka Mackerel) 🙂
Materials to Bring
- Students should bring PHOTOS OF THEIR BELOVED PETS! Students are not required to bring but can choose to bring additional paint brushes, paint palette with closable lid, and sketchbook.
