Bastard Masters

For centuries, artists learned their craft by studying and copying “the masters,” the celebrated painters and draftsmen who shaped art history. In this playful drawing class, we’ll carry on that tradition—with a slightly rebellious twist.

Bring a printed copy of your favorite masterpiece or choose from Gaby’s curated catalog. Using drawing pens and colored pencils, you’ll borrow, combine, distort, and intuitively reimagine it in your own style. There are no rules, no pressure, and absolutely no drawing experience required.

You’ll create several original pieces during class, then choose a favorite to frame and take home.

Come make something gloriously imperfect, completely original, and perhaps just a little bit bastardized.
