Paint it Turquoise!

In this class, we’ll create a hand-painted faux turquoise and gold ring or pendant — or both! Choose from a selection of different shapes and sizes of pre-prepared air clay medallions, then paint your pieces to look like your favorite turquoise. I’ll provide printed examples for each student to use as inspiration.

Next, paint the edges with gold leaf paint — or choose silver or bronze for a different look. Finish your pieces with varnish, or for a high-gloss finish, apply resin, which we’ll place under a blue light to cure.

Mount your finished stones onto adjustable ring mounts, or turn them into pendants using leather cord and beads to create toggles.

And voilà! A one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that’s fun to make — and SO fun to wear!
