Working on beautiful linen, you’ll learn how to simplify the human figure into easy-to-understand shapes, create realistic proportions, develop depth with light and shadow, and use charcoal to capture expression, movement, and form. If drawing people makes you nervous, don’t let that stop you! We’ll start by trying our hand at freehand drawing, but if you’re still feeling unsure, I’ll have light pads available so you can trace your design with confidence. My goal is for everyone to leave with a piece they’re proud of—whether you draw it freehand, trace it, or use a combination of both.

Because every artist has a different style, you’ll have the freedom to keep your piece beautifully monochromatic or add artist-grade acrylic paint and fabric for a more colorful, layered finish.
