Leslie Gaworecki is an abstract artist based in Houston, Texas. She has a BFA in Photography, but found her way to painting with curiosity and a little luck. She teaches workshops in her Houston studio and especially delights in encouraging women to listen to their own creative voices and remember how to play.
Leslie’s painting practice is driven by color and the surprises that happen when she releases expectation (a lesson she is still trying to learn about life). Her work is collected internationally and has been purchased for homes and public spaces. Most recently she was commissioned to create a permanent installation for Houston’s Intercontinental Airport.
Leslie lives with her husband and four sons. She’s been a camper at Lucky Star since it began and an instructor for several years.
